Professional development is more important now than ever before. As I move towards graduation I have been partaking in multiple professional development events. For example last week I attended a career development seminar at CSU at this event I was able to network with principles and other administrators from school districts around Colorado. I was able to get insight on what administration is looking for when hiring teachers. The event also included mock interviews which helped both my confidence in being interviewed and helped me feel more prepared for the future.
Professional development is extremely important for future educators to partake in, in order to gain more knowledge and practice within the field of teaching. Attending professional development events also is a great place to network, both with other educators and with professionals who are hiring within the field.
The artwork I created above represents the feeling of absorbing different perspectives feels. The two eye balls are meant to represent two people with different perspectives who are making a connection and realizing the similarities they share. The two eyes connection is also creating a positive reaction which is illustrated by the bright yellow light behind them. The positive outcome also represents the outcome of attending professional development seminars.
