This past week I have been focusing on refining the way I teach and the way I create lesson plans. I have begun to dive deeper into the world of teaching and have started to appreciate how important it is to find what works for you as a teacher. I've noticed that every teacher I have ever worked with has a completely unique way of teaching, no two teachers teach the same. I'm slowly realizing that it is going to take time for me to create my own unique way of teaching and that it's okay if I have a different teaching style than my mentor teachers. This realization is making me a more confident educator because I know that I am building my own pedagogical process.
I created the artwork above using magazines, crayons and watercolors. The diversity of mediums I used correlates to the idea of teachers having different methods of teaching. The piece as a whole symbolizes me taking pieces of teachers processes and incorporating them into my own unique way of teaching.
