Art 466: Methods and Assessment in K-12 Art Education

Setting and Context - Includes:  culture and community context, support structure, demographic characteristics, classroom environment and students,

school-wide policies for management, safe schools, 

conflict resolution and special needs. 

​

Unit and Lesson Standards, Goals and Objective Alignment - Includes: Alignment of standards and prepared graduate competencies to lesson objectives.

​

Unit Topic and Rationale  -Includes: Why the unit was taught, descriptions of each lesson taught, prepared graduate competencies used in the unit. 

​

Instruction and Management - Includes: Introduction to unit, methods for integrating literacy, numeracy, technology, and other components, classroom management strategies related to instruction,  lesson plans and documentation.

​

Assessment, Instruction, and Learning  - Includes: Assessment instruments, documentation of learning and  strengths and weaknesses of assessments. 

​

Teaching Experience Reflection - Includes a video reflection of my experience teaching at Polaris. 

​

Exhibition - Includes: Images from our art exhibition at Polaris.
