Standard 4:

Demonstrates Professionalism.
Reasoning Statement:
The image to the left is my CSU teacher candidate final assessment filled out by my mentor teacher Karen Lemmon. This sheet illustrates her evaluation of my teaching in her classroom over the semester. Under the first section, professionalism, Mrs. Lemmon rated my professionalism in all categories as a 4 which means I consistently demonstrated the knowledge and skills in being professional. She also mentions in her comments how I consistently strived to understand and learn more about our students and their needs and did a great job of developing relationships which I believe is important to not only standard 1 but in all aspects of teaching.

Kinard Karnival Reflection

Reasoning Statement:
The document to the right is the reflection I wrote after participating as a volunteer at the "Kinard Karnival". I volunteered at one of the carnivals stations and then helped clean up when the carnival was over. I believe this demonstrates my mastery of standard 4 by illustrating my ability to demonstrate leadership my leadership in the community.
Reflection
I believe that when it comes to standard 4 I am advanced. During this semester I demonstrated consistant professionalism. I built mentoring relationships with my students by spending one on one time with each of them. I always accepted any responsibility Mrs. Lemmon assigned to me and positively accepted feedback from both my peers and Mrs. Lemmon on how to continue to develop my understanding of both teaching and student learning. I was never late for teaching and always arrived both mentally and physically prepared to give my students the best learning experience possible. Although I believe I am advanced I do think I could still strengthen my ability to link my professional growth to my professional goals by writing goals for myself to work on.
