Setting and Context
Reasoning Statement:
The document to the left is a reflection I did about the setting and context I was working in for EDUC 450. I believe this is great evidence of how prior to any type of lesson planning I took time to analyze the individual needs of each of my students.
Reasoning Statement:
The document to the right is my management plan for my classroom. I believe that this showcases my mastery of standard 1 because it shows that I am know how to set up an effective art classroom.

Reasoning Statement:
The document to the left is the planning worksheet I handed out to students for their coil vase project. The worksheet includes spaces for students to write ideas about what they will create. I believe this illustrates my mastery of standard 1 because it demonstrates my ability to emphasize literacy within art assignments.
Reflection
I believe that when it comes to standard 1 I am proficient. At the beginning of this semester I really struggled with including literacy into my assignments. However, with the guidance of Mrs. Lemmon, I learned how to easily incorporate literacy by having students create an art portfolio to illustrate their progress and ideas throughout the year. I was able to incorporate literacy into both of the lesson I taught in her class. The reason I believe I am proficient and not advanced is because I still need to work on incorporating other subject such as math, science or history into my projects in order to connect my lessons to a wider variety of content areas.
