Professional Teaching Dispositions

I believe overall I  accomplished the teaching dispositions because I consistently challenged myself throughout the semester to be the best teacher I could possibly be. One thing I believe I need to work on though, is not taking on the entire project when co-teaching. My experience co-teaching this semester I believe would have gone smoother if I hadn't let myself pick up all my co-teachers slack and didn't decide  design our lesson alone. In the future I need to remember to communicate better with the teacher I am working with about who is doing what and not let myself get suckered into completing a group project alone. One disposition I feel as though I truly mastered was initiative and dependability, I have turned almost all my assignments in early and never had to be reminded to participate.  I also have had more than one situation arise where I noticed a student wasn't doing well and took action. One of these situations occurred while helping teach the 7th grade photography class. My co-teacher in training Laine pointed out a student in our class and told me that this student wasn't doing their work even after Laine had asked them multiple times. As soon as I approached the student I could tell there was something wrong. I asked the student if they were tired and they told me they hadn't been sleeping. I took the initiative to take that student into the hall and as soon as I did they began to burst into tears and tell me about a rough situation they were going through at home. I was able to calm the student down and take them to the social worker. I believe I have really begun to master the idea that student relationships come before the material. I am eager to continue to practice these dispositions and to becoming a teacher.
