Reasoning Statement:
The collage presentation I created that went along with my slab built mug lesson plan, I believe showcases my mastery of standard 3 because the powerpoint shows how I am able to create a presentation that can assist me in delivering effective instruction for students. This assignment offered students a variety of choice and allowed them to take charge of what their artwork was about which I believe helped facilitate learning among my students.

The word document to the left is my lesson plan for building coil vases. Within my lesson plan I meet all 4 standards: create, comprehend, reflect and transfer. I also provide a variety of ways to differentiate the content, process and product.

Reasoning Statement:
This lesson plan showcases my mastery of standard 3 because this lesson plan shows my ability to create an effective lesson plan which can not only facilitate learning but also engage students personal interests and beliefs in their art making.
Reflection
I believe that when it comes to standard 3 I am proficient. I was able to create an emergent curriculum that was based on my students answers to a get to know you work sheet. I also took the time to gather information about each student's abilities from Mrs.Lemmon in order to differentiate the process/product for specific students based on their needs. I also demonstrated my ability to communicate high expectations by showing examples of quality work and review the rubric prior to each assignment. I also utilized both informal and formal assessments in each project to monitor my students progress. I believe that I am proficient and not advanced because I still need to strengthen my ability to provide students with opportunities to work in teams in order to help them develop leadership qualities.
